Fokus’d Kreatives is a creative arts apprenticeship program developed by Aitina Fareed-Cooke, Founder and CEO of Get Fokus’d Productions (GFP). The program is designed to support emerging storytellers—such as digital storytellers, poets, writers, and other creatives—in honing their artistic skills within the creative arts industry.
Targeting emerging artists and creatives aged 16-26, the program offers various project-based opportunities tailored to their unique artistic and professional needs. Through career-building activities and a focus on their artistic talents, the program aims to motivate participants to refine their craft and establish a successful presence in the creative arts industry.
Projects are led by Aitina Fareed-Cooke, Founder, Creative Arts Strategist, and Director of Get Fokus’d Productions. During the 2025 Summer session, participants will collaborate with GFP collaborators and work alongside Aitina on select projects, while also developing and strengthening their own creative voices. The apprenticeship is designed to teach both technical skills and soft skills, providing valuable documentation and media content for Get Fokus’d Productions.

Testimonials
“Through the Fokus’d Kreatives opportunity I was able to travel to DC to perform, do photographic documentation, and lobby for policies geared towards addressing the racial wealth gap.”
“From working with Aitina I have gained a deeper perspective on objects, topics, and situations. I learned to see value in things where others may not see value. Ultimately I have gained access to a part of myself that I would not have known if not for her.”
“During this great experience I’ve learned so much about photography, Aitina has help me overcome my fear of doing it and being judged by certain people it was an amazing experience I would do it all over again.”
